Early check-in and late check-out are offered based on availability and subjected to additional cost.  Please contact our Reservation or Front Office team to reserve in accordance with your request.

If you arrive earlier than check-in time, you may proceed the check-in procedures but rooms are usually ready by the time of 15:00 due to Housekeeping works.  Gaya Cafe in the lobby welcome you to sit back and enjoy a sip of coffee while waiting for your room.  Or you may drop your baggage and visit around the town before room ready.

PRE-AUTHORIZATION AT CHECK-IN
As for the guarantee of your booking, pre-authorization of your credit card will be processed for your first night room rate.  Pre-authorization procedure only holds the credit of the amount of your booking room rate to ensure your reservation.  You can choose to pay by the same credit card or different card or cash at your convenience.  Any invalid credit card that causes the pre-authorization unsuccessful will not promise the reservation.

Generally, most banks release the hold within 3-5 days. It is your responsibility to be aware of how your bank handles all of your transactions, including pre-authorizations.  Thank you for your understanding.

About COVID-19 Advisory

The GAYA HOTEL and the team all play a part in suppporting safe travel and we want our guests to stay with confidence. For the heal and safety of our guests and hotel colleagues, and in line with local legislation and updated health authority guidance, THE GAYA HOTEL reserves the right to refuse your stay, to cancel or to amend existing reservations for any reason, including the registered guests (or any accompanionsor or invited guests), who have a fever over 37.4C, been in the inffected area within the past 21 days of the arrival date, have symptoms related to the coronavirus, or any actions that have been identified by the hotel as a risk to other hotel guests and employees.

In accordance of the Centers Diseas Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance, all staying guests are required to fill in a health declaration form. At the same time, we thank you for understanding that THE GAYA HOTEL is not a quarantine hotel. We apologize for being unable to host any guests who are under quarantine control and self-health management. According to the latest public health guidance, all staff of THE GAYA HOTEL have completed more than 2 doses of vaccination. For the health of you and other guest, wearing masks properly is mandatory any time in the public and indoor areas of the hotel.

Mandarin Airlines and UNI AIR serve daily 2-4 flights between Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) and Taitung Airport (TTT).  Flying time is approx. 60Min one way.

“TOP EASTERN BUS SERVICE” Route #8128 to the terminal stop “Taitung Bus Terminal”. Less than 5 minutes from Taitung Bus Terminal to THE GAYA HOTEL.

Local taxi services (Yellow Taxis) are available in Taitung Airport and Taitung Railway Station.  Appox. 15 minutes from airport or station to downtown Taitung.  However, most of the guests have negative experiences of the taxi rides.  We highly recommend you to reserve the reliable drivers for pick-up service.  Half-Day or Full-Day private taxi rides for your tailored trips is also available.

Taiwan Railway (TRA) serves daily multiple direct services from Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung to Tiatung.

EMU3000 Express, TAROKO Express and PYUMA Express approx. 3.5~4.5 Hours.
Tzu-Chiang Express approx. 5 Hours.

DRIVING

Taiwan Provincial Highway 11 to Downtown Taitung, along Chung-Hua Road turning to Xin-Shen Road, bypassing Po-Ai Road, you will see THE GAYA HOTEL on your left hand side.

Taiwan Provincial Highway 9 to Downtown Taitung, along Xin-Shen Road, bypassing Cheng-Chi Road, you will see MacDonald the Golden Arch on your right hand side and THE GAYA HOTEL is right next to that Arch.

Parking spaces are available in B1 Floor of the hotel building, or outdoor parking behind the hotel.  We suggest you to park temporary by the drive way in front of hotel building to drop your baggage.  Our front desk team will guide you the way of parking accordingly.

Complementary Parking lots are available in our hotel.
Indoor parking (B1 Floor of the building), and Outdoor parking (behind the hotel building)
Approx. 60 vehicles in total, first come first serve, no advance reserved for the parking space.
Height Limit of 2.2 Meters for indoor parking.  Any vehicles higher than 2.2 meters should use the outdoor parking.
Charging Station is available by reservation.  Please advise our information center in advance to reserve a charging space for your electronic vehicles.  Charging fee may applies.

We are expecting a higher occupancy during weekend and public holidays.  In case of no availability of our hotel parking space, public parking is also easily available around our hotel.  Please keep the parking tickets for reimbursement if needed.  (terms and conditions may applies.)

Many car rental services are available around Taitung Railway Station and Taitung Airport.  We suggest you to make reservations for a car before arriving.
Some car rental service allows dropping car in different location.  Please consult the car rental company carefully.
A friendly reminder, international driving license is mandatory.  Due to language issue and risk management, some local Car Rental services are unwilling to provide service for non-Taiwan citizens.  No offensive!  We suggest you to reserve car rental service with nation-wide companies for your convenience.
